Bellator featherweight Jordan Parsons has reportedly passed away, following a reported hit-and-run incident this past weekend.

News of the incident surfaced on Monday, which hospitalized Parsons in critical condition. Earlier on Wednesday, Bellator confirmed that the fighter has passed away, via a statement by the promotion’s President, Scott Coker.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a dear member of the Bellator family, Jordan Parsons. Jordan was an exceptional athlete and a rising star in the sport. But more importantly, he was an exceptional young man. Jordan was hard-working, dedicated, intelligent, and a pleasure to be around. He represented all the reasons we love this sport. It is a terribly tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and teammates.”

Parsons made his pro debut back in 2010, and during his run with Bellator, the fighter went 2-1.

All of us here at Full Contact Fighter extended our deepest sympathies and condolences to the friends and family of Parsons.
