By FCF Staff

Bellator and UFC veteran Kevin Ferguson, widely known as “Kimbo Slice“, has died at the age of 42.

According to multiple reports, the fighter passed away on Monday in Coral Gables, Florida. The cause of Slice’s death has yet to be determined.

Slice entered pro MMA in 2007, after becoming an internet sensation as a result of his street fight videos going viral. The heavy handed fighter made his way to the UFC in 2009, via “The Ultimate Fighter”, but was released by the promotion in 2010.

More recently Slice fought under the Bellator banner and delivered the promotion huge television ratings.

The heavyweight, who was scheduled to fight James Thompson at Bellator 158 on July 16th, is survived by his partner Antoinette Ray and six children.

All of us at Full Contact Fighter extended our deepest condolences to Slice’s friends and family.
