After a fight between “King Mo” Lawal and Tom DeBlass was cancelled earlier this month, due to the latter being injured, the two have been rebooked to scrap in November.

Bellator has announced that Lawal and DeBlass will square off November 15th, at the promotion’s 131st card in San Diego, California.

After DeBlass withdrew from Bellator 123, Lawal (13-4) ended up facing Dustin Jacoby, and stopped the light-heavyweight in the second round.

The win followed Lawal’s controversial, decision loss to “Rampage” Jackson in May.

DeBlass (9-2), meanwhile, is coming off a knockout win over fellow UFC vet Jason Lambert last November.

“Tom has been talking since we were supposed to fight in September. He’s a good fighter, but my jab is going to erase his teeth and swell up his eyes,” Lawal was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “My right is going to make him see stars and bright lights. Another fight, another win.”

“Listen, I respect Mo and I think he’s a world class athlete,” DeBlass said. “That being said, I know what I’m capable of, and I not only believe that I will win the fight, but I’m going to finish him. Bellator has treated me incredible, and I’ve been asking for big fights. Let Mo do his talking. His mouth is his best weapon.”

Bellator 131 will also feature a light-heavyweight bout between Tito Ortiz and Stephan Bonnar, and a Will Brooks versus Michael Chandler to determine the promotion’s lightweight champ.

The main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.
