Bellator’s Paul Daley Says He’s “Past” Rematch With Josh Koscheck

Since both Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley are under contract with Bellator, the consensus has been the promotion will book a rematch between the rivals, but the latter doesn’t think it will happen.

Daley and Koscheck fought back in 2010 at UFC 113, and the American used his wrestling game to control the powerful striker, and earn a decision win. After the bout, a frustrated Daley attempted to punch Koscheck, and the British fighter was banned for life by the UFC.

Recently Daley spoke to MMA Junkie.com, and while discussing the possibility of rematching Koshceck, “Semtex” stated:

“I think he’s past that – I think Koscheck is past it,” Daley said. “It’s quiet on the Koscheck front, and I’m not interested in calling him out or anything. I just don’t think the guy’s head is in the game. He’s quiet, and I think he’s a guy that’s going to stay there. More power to him. If you’re not really feeling it, then it’s dangerous to accept such a fight against me.

“I’m past that fight. There are many more interesting fights out there for me.”

Daley is coming off a decision loss to former welterweight champ Douglas Lima in July.
