Ben Askren has been critical of Dana White in the past, and in a recent interview, the now retired fighter blasted the UFC President.

Askren exchanged words with White through the media a couple of years ago, after the former Bellator champ entered the free agent market.  More recently, Askren was a guest on “Submission Radio“, and the decorated fighter had this to say about White (quote via Bloody Elbow):

“Dana White’s a scumbag, I don’t take anything he says with any value,” Askren said, while discussing his relationship with the UFC President.“Because he’s very, very insecure and he abhors anyone who won’t cater to his every whim.”

Recently Askren vacated ONE Championship’s welterweight title and retired from MMA, but the talented wrestler has said he would return if a big bout, like one with Georges St-Pierre, materialized.

The 33 year-old went 18-0, with 1 no contest, during his pro-MMA career.
