The news that the Wisconsin based fighter has joined Evolve, has prompted widespread speculation that Askren has signed with the Asian based promotion ONE FC.
The company has not made any official statement regarding Askren, however, ONE FC did tweet recently that it “will be making some huge announcements this week! Stay tuned!”
Askren (12-0) concluded his contract with Bellator this past July after he stopped Andrey Koreshkov in the fourth round. The decorated wrestler said was hoping to head to the UFC, however, Dana White recently relayed they’re not interesting in signing Askren at this juncture.
The 29 year-old fighter has reportedly been offered a contract by World Series of Fighting.
