Brock Lesnar May Make Return in 2012
By FCF Staff
Is Brock Lesnar going to enter the UFC octagon again?
Former champion Lesnar is reportedly set to make a return to the UFC later this year, according to Mike Sawyer, Tough Talk MMA co-host, saying he spoke with someone “very close” to the situation.
There is nothing confirmed just yet, and UFC officials remain silent about a possible Lesnar return to MMA fighting.
If Lesnar does return to the UFC, it would not be another fight with Frank Mir, though could be Stefan Struve or a rematch with Shane Carwin. Lesnar left the UFC on a two-fight losing streak, suffering TKO losses to Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem.
Lesnar’s return to the WWE earlier in the year wasn’t a big surprise, as he was able to collect a major pay day without the need of hosting a full fight camp and deal with the MMA media scrum every few months.
The former champion has fulfilled six WWE appearances of his reported 24-appearance contract – and will be able to relax at home until the WWE begins its effort to build momentum towards SummerSlam on Aug. 19.
