Bruno Carvalho vs. Eiji Mitsuoka Added to July 16th DREAM

By FCF Staff

DREAM has announced that former Pride and Sengoku competitor Eiji Mitsuoka will take on rising lightweight Bruno Carvalho at the promotion’s upcoming July 16th event in Tokyo, Japan.

“DREAM: Japan GP Final” will be hosted by the Ariake Coliseum and will feature the bantamweight grand-prix final between Masakazu Imanari and Hideo Tokoro in the main event.

Mitsuoka (17-7-2) is coming off a first round, stoppage victory over Jung Gyeong Lee at Deep 53 in April, after losing by unanimous decision to Kazunori Yokota at Sengoku’s “Eleventh Battle” in November.

Carvalho will head into the bout having won four straight fights. Most recently in May, the Brazilian stopped Claudio Chatuba in the first round while competing on a Watch Out Combat Show card.

Some of the other bouts scheduled for the July 16th DREAM event include light-heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi vs. Hiroshi Izumi, featherweight champ Hiroyuki Takaya vs. Kazayuki Miyata, Todd Duffee vs. heavyweight Nick Gaston and lightweight vet Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Willamy Freire.
