Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos Only Bout to be Broadcast at UFC on FOX 1

Velasquez

By FCF Staff

Even if the upcoming November 12th, heavyweight bout between champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Junior dos Santos only lasts a few seconds, the title fight will be the only one to air at the UFC on FOX debut broadcast.

The promotion announced the news today during a teleconference to promote the upcoming fight, which will be hosted by Anaheim, California.

Originally, when the UFC announced a new seven year, broadcast agreement with FOX, there was speculation that the November 12th, one hour broadcast, might include an additional bout if indeed the Velasquez, dos Santos fight ended quickly.

The UFC on FOX 1 card will also feature a notable lightweight bout between former WEC champion Ben Henderson and perennial contender Clay Guida.

The remainder of the free, 11 fight card, will be available for viewing via Facebook or Fox.com.

Some of the other bouts scheduled for the event include Dustin Poirier vs. Pablo Garza, Norifumi Yamamoto vs. Darren Uyenoyama and Ricardo Lamas vs. Cub Swanson.
