Carlos Condit Still Undecided About Future
By FCF Staff
It’s been a week now since Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit thrilled fans with their epic bout at UFC 195, but it still isn’t clear whether the fight might have been the latter’s last.
Condit and Lawler battled it out for 25 minutes last Saturday night, and Lawler retained the welterweight crown via split decision. Following the extremely competitive bout, which many believe Condit won, “The Natural Born Killer” relayed he might not fight again.
Recently Condit spoke to UFC.com about the thrilling fight, as well as his future, and the 31 year-old said this:
“Fighting is such a big part of who I am and the chance to get back in there with Robbie again is something I could get excited about, but if it’s time to explore a new path, then I’ll go into it with the same passion,” said Condit, who also noted that he’s been thinking about his future after fighting for sometime now. “It’s always been about the journey for me and I guess we’ll have to wait and see how things play out.”
Since the bout, UFC officials haven’t said whether they hope to book an immediate rematch between the welterweight stars.
