CM Punk’s UFC Debut Pushed Back Again Due to Injury

CM Punk

By FCF Staff

Only days after Mickey Gall defeated Mike Jackson to lock up a fight with CM Punk, it’s being reported that the former pro-wrestler is undergoing surgery on Wednesday.

Gall stopped Jackson in the opening round at UFC Fight Night 82 on Saturday, and Punk was on hand at the event to promote their upcoming bout. But, since then, Punk has informed MMA Fighting.com that he has a herniated disc and will require surgery.

As a result, his UFC and pro-MMA debut has been pushed back, since the procedure will take four to six weeks to recover from.

Punk relayed in the report that he still plans to fight in 2016. Last year the aspiring fighter injured his shoulder and as a result, his debut was delayed.
