One of Chris Weidman’s coaches, Mark Henry, is reporting that the former middleweight champ is recovering and doing well, after undergoing neck surgery on Wednesday.
Weidman was scheduled to fight Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 last weekend, but was forced to withdraw due to a herniated disc in his neck. Recently, the renowned striking coach Henry tweeted out:

The accomplished wrestler, who continues to train with longtime coaches Matt Serra and Ray Longo, started training with Henry earlier this year. Weidman has said in recent weeks that he hopes to be ready to fight at the UFC’s New York City debut on November 12th.
