Conor McGregor Blasts Fellow UFC Fighters on Three Year Anniversary of First Octagon Bout
By FCF Staff
Conor McGregor may be coming off his first UFC defeat, but the Irish star is still making headlines with brash, eye catching statements.
On April 6th, 2013, McGregor made his UFC debut, and the featherweight took out Marcus Brimage in the opening round. Since then, the vaunted striker has gone on to become featherweight champion and one of the biggest names in combat sports.
On the day of his three year anniversary with the UFC, McGregor tweeted out the following comment:
3 years ago today, I began my crusade to take all you bums from 5 figure paydays to multi seven figure paydays.
And not even a thank you.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 6, 2016
McGregor was submitted by Nate Diaz last month at UFC 196. The two are scheduled to fight again at UFC 200 on July 9th. That bout will also be contested at 170 pounds.
