Doesn’t Expect to be Sidelined Long With Knee Injury

By FCF Staff

Conor McGregor has become of the sport’s most talked about fighters thanks to his first two wins in the UFC, but the rising featherweight has also commanded attention due to some of the brash comments he’s made.

Most recently, the Irish fighter has taken aim at several of the UFC’s top featherweight fighters, as the following post has appeared on McGregor’s official Twitter feed.

Aldo-Safe. Mendes-135er. Lamas-Nobody cares. Cub-OLD. TKZ-Open. Edgar-135er. Siver-OLD. Poirier-PeaHead. Guida-Boring. Lentz-Boring. Koch-?.

McGregor is coming off a unanimous decision win over Max Holloway at UFC Fight Night 26 last weekend to extend his record to 14-2. The fighter announced after the bout that he had hurt his knee during the tilt, but “UFC Tonight” reported Tuesday that it’s not serious, and most likely just a minor LCL sprain. McGregor also updated his condition on Twitter bystating:

M.R.I scan tomorrow to see about my knee. Hoping 3/4 weeks max. If so I can do Manchester card, aswell as Vegas. Forget that waiting sh-t.

The Irish fighter made his Octagon debut and stopped Marcus Brimage in just over one minute. Although McGregor has fought just twice under the promotion’s banner, the UFC will likely look to match him up against a top contender or established fighter next.
