Although it looks like Conor McGregor will likely defend the UFC’s featherweight title next, the star is definitely interested in facing Nate Diaz again at some juncture.

McGregor faced Diaz in a welterweight contest at UFC 196 earlier this month, and after surging ahead, was submitted by the rugged vet in round two. Immediately after the bout McGregor relayed that he intended to defend the 145 title next, which he claimed in December by knocking out Jose Aldo.

Recently TMZ.com spotted McGregor while he was doing some shopping, and the latter was asked if he’s interested in facing Diaz again (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“I think I’d like to see that, yea?” McGregor said. “I mean, it’s one that interests me, most certainly. You know, when I look at the fight I was winning the fight. I won the first round and a half, I feel. I’d love to get that one back. We’ll see how it goes. Money talks. Life is good.”

McGregor had won 15 straight bouts prior to his defeat to Diaz on March 5th.
