Dana White recently reported that Conor McGregor was “obsessed” with fighting Nate Diaz again, and the star’s manager is backing up that statement.

McGregor has been booked to fight Diaz again at UFC 200, which will take place on July 9th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two fought at UFC 196 last month, and Diaz came from behind to score a second round, submission win. The fight ended McGregor’s seven fight, undefeated run with the UFC, and marked the first time he had lost since 2010.

Recently McGregor’s manager, Audie Attar, attended a media event for UFC 199. According to a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com, Attar also relayed that McGregor was “obsessed” with his loss to Diaz. In fact, Attar estimated McGregor watched the fight approximately 20 times, even before the post-fight, UFC 196 presser had began.

Attar also stated:

“I think Conor has been very meticulous,” Attar said. “It’s been great. As a team, we’ve looked at everything. But it’s always been fueled by athletic competition and not only against someone, but against himself and it’s always been about that.”

UFC 200 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena and will also feature former featherweight champ Jose Aldo taking on Frankie Edgar for the interim 145 title. Bantamweight champ Miesha Tate is also scheduled to face Amanda Nunes.
