Cris “Cyborg” Says She Can Make The UFC “a Lot of Money” at 145 Pounds

Following Cris “Cyborg” Justino’s victory over Daria Ibragimova on Saturday night, the Invicta FC champ has called on the UFC to create a women’s featherweight division.

“Cyborg” knocked Ibragimova out in the opening round at Invicta FC 15, and in doing so, pushed her record to 15-1. The win comes after months of speculation as to whether Justino would move to 135 to face Ronda Rousey, and after “Cyborg” announced she would not make the drop.

Following Saturday’s win, “Cyborg” had this to say about the UFC and her future (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“Of course, I want to be a UFC fighter, but I fight in Invicta, because they have my division,” “Cyborg” said. “I think Dana lost something. I think I can make a lot of money for Dana and the UFC at 145 pounds.”

Justino has also expressed an interest in fighting newly crowned, UFC bantamweight champ Holly Holm in a catch weight bout. But, in the past, the UFC has repeatedly said it’s not interested in promoting a fight at 140.
