Culinary Union Petitions For FOX To Drop UFC

By FCF Staff

The ongoing feud between the world’s top MMA promotion and the Las Vegas Culinary Union just escalated a notch.

Local 226, the union outfit that has been waging war against UFC parent company Zuffa, LLC, has formed an online petition calling for FOX to abandon its multi-year agreement with UFC that will kick off on Nov. 12 with the live UFC event headlined by a long-awaited heavyweight showdown between champion Cain Velasquez and top contender Junior Dos Santos.

The union, which derives its motivation in the battle from the fact that Zuffa majority owners Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta also own Station Casinos, a non-union shop in Las Vegas, launched UnfitForChildren.org.  The website points to comments it deems homophobic and male chauvinistic on the part of UFC President and minority percentage owner Dana White as well as UFC talent.

Unfit For Children also contains a page on its website titled “Abu Dhabi and Deutsche Bank.”  The page notes last year’s Flash Entertainment purchase of a 10 percent ownership stake in UFC.

Flash Entertainment, the web page notes, is an Abu Dhabi government-owned company.  Abu Dhabi is a member of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which condemns and punishes homosexuality and has a history of not providing women with equal rights.

    LOL WUT!!???

Seriously? Their ignorant intentions are obvious to everyone. You think if the Fertittas unionized their casinos, these fools would still be doing all of this? Of course not. How can no one in the group have mentioned this?

“Hey, guys. I think it’ll be pretty obvious to everyone why we’re doing this. Maybe we should just find another way.”

    Idiots.
