Cutman Jacob “Stitch” Duran Says he Was Fired by UFC For Speaking Out on Reebok Deal

After Jacob “Stitch” Duran revealed in an interview that UFC cutmen have lost all of their sponsorships as a result of the Reebok uniform deal, the combat sports icon has reportedly been fired.
Duran revealed on Twitter that he, and other cutmen who work for the UFC, had to give up the sponsors they previously had. In a follow up interview with Bloody Elbow.com, the cutman said he might have to consider working more boxing matches, since he and his fellow cutmen were not included in the Reebok deal. Duran also said that there is an “unwritten rule” in the UFC, whereby, cutmen should not work for other MMA promotions.
Recently the veteran cutman also tweeted out the following news:

The UFC has yet to comment publicly on the firing of Duran.The cutman had worked for the ZUFFA promotion since 2001.
