“Cyborg” Santos Reports He’s Doing Well After Undergoing Surgery

"Cyborg" Santos

By FCF Staff

After incurring a horrifying injury at Bellator 158, veteran fighter Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos is reporting he’s doing well, following surgery to repair his fractured skull.

Michael Page blasted Santos with a flying knee at the event, which ended the fight and fractured the Brazilian’s skull. After the card, disturbing images of the injury made the internet rounds.

Recently Santos informed MMA Fighting.com, however, that the seven hour surgery he underwent on Wednesday “went fine”. The aggressive fighter said he has not received a timetable yet for his return, but Santos added he will “be back soon”.

The 38 year-old welterweight has gone 1-2 since joining Bellator earlier this year. Santos currently carries a record of 21-18.
