By FCF Staff
Cyrille Diabate’s next fight will take place November 5th, at UFC 138 against Anthony Perosh, according to the light-heavyweight’s official Twitter page. The upcoming card is to take place at Birmingham, England’s National Exhibition Centre.
Although there’s been no official announcement from the UFC regarding the fight, Diabate ‘tweeted’:
training for my upcoming UFC fight @ UFC 138. Anthony Perosh vs Cyrille Diabate. Grappler vs Striker. Classic !!!
Diabate (17-7-1) (pictured) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Steve Cantwell at UFC Live 3 in March, after being submitted by Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 120 in October. The accomplished striker has also scored a stoppage win over Luiz Cane during his current Octagon run.
Perosh (11-6) last competed in February at UFC 127 and submitted Tom Blackledge in the first round to record his first UFC win in three Octagon appearances. The BJJ black belt was stopped by Mirko Filipovic at UFC 110 last February, and in Perosh’s only other UFC bout in July, 2006, he was TKO’d by the veteran Jeff Monson.
UFC 138 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Chris Leben and Mark Munoz and will be broadcast (same day tape delay) on Spike.
