Dan Henderson Wants Title Fight With Michael Bisping, Would Retire Afterwards “Win or Lose”

Dan Henderson

As Dan Henderson considers his next step, the legend is reporting that he wants to face newly crowned middleweight champ Michael Bisping, and that he’d retire afterwards, regardless of the outcome…

Henderson added yet another, highlight reel stoppage to his resume at UFC 199 earlier this month, by knocking out Hector Lombard in the second round. That same night, Bisping proceeded to KO Luke Rockhold and secure the 185 title.

Since Henderson viciously KO’d Bisping back in 2009, and has said retirement is near, fans are calling for the UFC to book a rematch between the two. Recently Henderson talked to the “MMA Discussion” podcast, and the 45 year-old said this (quote via MMA Outsiders):

“(Fighting Bisping) is definitely something that I would do. But it would definitely be my last fight for sure. Win or lose. I’m obviously confident that I would win, but win or lose I would make that my retirement fight.”

Henderson’s win over Lombard was the last fight on the former PRIDE champ’s UFC contract. Bisping, meanwhile, has already said that he’s interested in fighting Henderson again.
