It remains to be seen if and when Germaine de Randamie will fight again, but UFC President Dana White says they’ll have an update on the featherweight champ soon.

Since de Randamie won the featherweight title earlier this year, by defeating Holly Holm, it hasn’t been clear when the Dutch fighter would defend the belt. Immediately after her win, de Randamie said she was dealing with a hand injury, and that she wasn’t sure when she’d fight again. Then the champion called for a rematch with Holm.

But, more recently, her manager confirmed that de Randamie was dealing with some personal issues.

White was asked about de Randamie’s future, following UFC 211, and the promoter said this (quote via MMA Junkie):

“I think we’re going to come out with something soon about that,” White said in a reserved manner . “You’ll see. It’s coming out, (but) it’s not coming right now.”

Another of the promotion’s top featherweights, Cris “Cyborg” Justino, has been pushing the UFC to book her another fight. White said that they plan to have “Cyborg” fight this summer, and that they are considering several opponents, including Cat Zingano and Megan Anderson.
