The expectation has been that Ronda Rousey will return to the Octagon later this year, before 2016 concludes, but Dana White says no timeline’s in place yet.

Following Rousey’s KO loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 last November, she initially targeted this summer for her next bout. The former bantamweight champ eventually requested more time off. More recently, there’s been talk about the possibility of Rousey fighting this fall, perhaps at the UFC’s New York City debut in November.

Recently White appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show“, and the UFC President was asked if there’s a change that Rousey will not fight in 2016. White responded by saying he hopes the star fights before the year is up, but that ultimately it is up to Rousey.

The 29 year-old Rousey had won 12 straight bouts before facing Holm.
