Dana White Says Conor McGregor “Might Never Fight Again”

There’s been a lot of talk and speculation about when and who Conor McGregor will fight again, but UFC President Dana White says the star could walk away from fighting.

McGregor hasn’t fought now in the Octagon since last November, when he stopped Eddie Alvarez to become the lightweight champ. In August, McGregor was stopped by undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather, in what was one of the biggest fights in combat sport’s history.

Recently White attended a media luncheon in Las Vegas, and he had this to say, about McGregor’s future (quote via MMA Junkie):

“Conor might never fight again,” White said. “The guy’s got $100 (expletive) million. I’ve got guys that made less than that and were lawyers and went to school their whole life and quit working.”

“Fighting’s the worst,” White added. “Try to get up and get punched in the face every day when you’ve got $100 million in the bank. Money changes everything with a lot of people.”

Since McGregor’s loss to Mayweather, he has said that he’s interested in returning to the UFC and legitimizing his reign as the 155 pound champ.
