Since Ronda Rousey was knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193, there’s been a lot of debate as to whether an immediate rematch will happen, but according to Dana White that’s the UFC’s plan.

Rousey was brutally stopped by Holm last month, in what was one of the biggest upsets in MMA history. After the loss Rousey said she’ll return to the Octagon, but some observers have wondered when that will happen, and if the UFC would keep Holm on the sidelines until then.

Well, recently White appeared ESPN’s “Mike & Mike” Radio show and according to a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com, he said this:

“I think that if we didn’t make the rematch, me and [UFC CEO] Lorenzo [Fertitta] should probably lose our promoters’ license,” White said. “Yeah, that fight’s going to happen. I don’t know when, but that’s the fight that will happen.”

“Ronda Rousey has gone undefeated, taken the sport to another level and was beating the best women in the world in 14 seconds or 30 seconds, so she deserves a rematch,” White added. “Holly agrees she deserves a rematch, and we’ll figure it out.”

Prior to UFC 193, Rousey said she planned to take a break after the card and didn’t want to fight again until summer, 2016.
