Dana White Says Scott Coker “a Much Better Fit” for Bellator, Takes Another Jab at Bjorn Rebney

By FCF Staff

The MMA world is still buzzing after Bellator announced this week that founder and CEO Bjorn Rebney was stepping down, and that former Strikeforce head Scott Coker will be president.

Dana White recently sat down with AXS TV’s Bas Rutten, and here is what the UFC President had to say about Bellator’s decision.

“Not only do I know Scott very well, I know the guys at SPIKE very well,” White said on “Inside MMA”. “You know I was in business with them for a long time, and I think this is a much better fit for them then Bjork (Bjorn Rebney) was.”

After Strikeforce was purchased by UFC parent company ZUFFA, Coker worked as an executive with the company but maintained a low profile. The longtime promoter’s contract reportedly ended recently, which opened the door to his new job with Bellator.

White also discussed light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones, featherweight champ Jose Aldo and PEDs in the segment above.
