Dana White likely raised more than a few eyebrows in a recent interview with Jim Rome, by stating that Conor McGregor is knocking out “everybody” in the lightweight division.

White was a guest on the show to talk about UFC 223 this Saturday, which will feature Khabib Nurmagomedov taking on Max Holloway for the lightweight title. While discussing Holloway, and the run the featherweight champ has been on,  White stated (quote via MMA Mania):

“This guy is the real deal, he’s a beast. I think Max Holloway is very underrated…the guy hasn’t lost in five years. His last lost was a decision to Conor. Conor is out there knocking everybody out at 155, and Holloway went to a decision with him. He (Max) has got the most stoppages in featherweight history, is an absolute beast and I think he is completely underrated. But at the end of the day, Khabib is a monster and when you break this fight down, you look at the stats, it’s awesome.”

Although McGregor recorded stoppage wins while competing at lightweight prior to his UFC tenure, the Irish star has fought just once in the UFC lightweight division. In 2016, McGregor won the 155 title by stopping Eddie Alvarez in round two.

McGregor joined the UFC as a featherweight, and recorded six stoppage wins at that weight, before fighting Nate Diaz twice at 170.
