Recently rumors have been swirling that Conor McGregor will face lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, but according to a tweet from Dana White, that’s not the case.

The UFC President was recently asked on Twitter to confirm whether Alvarez – McGregor is planned for the November 12th, New York City card, and White responded with this:

Following McGregor’s decision win over Nate Diaz at UFC 201, the featherweight champ said he was interested in a third bout with his rival, but not next, and not at 170.

White has also reported that the UFC doesn’t plan to book McGregor – Diaz III in the short term. White has also said that McGregor needs to defend the 145 belt against interim champ Jose Aldo next, or vacate the belt.

Nurmagomedov (23-0) has gone 7-0 in UFC action to date and is currently ranked #1 at 155.
