Daniel Cormier: Conor McGregor Needs More Than a Punch to KO Khabib Nurmagomedov
By FCF Staff
Following Khabib Nurmagomedov’s win over Edson Barboza at UFC 219, there’s renewed discussion about the lightweight fighting Conor McGregor, and Daniel Cormier’s weighed-in on the subject.
Nurmagomedov used his wrestling and grappling to score a one sided, decision win over Barboza at the event, in what was his first bout of 2017. Although it remains to be seen when and who McGregor fights next, Cormier was asked how he believes his teammate would do, against the light-weight champ on Twitter.
70-80% Conor would have to knock him out or he would be in trouble. And I don’t know if anyone can knock him out unless he gets kicked in head or knee. No punch will do it. https://t.co/cHPShK6IoM
