After returning to the win column at Legacy FC 53 last weekend, Dhiego Lima is excited to see what offers come his way.

Lima took on Antonio Trocoli at the April 8th event, and worked his way to a unanimous decision win. The bout marked the first time Lima had fought since May, 2015, when he was stopped by Jingliang Li at UFC Fight Night 66.

Recently the TUF 19 Finalist appeared on Full Contact Fighter Radio, and Lima had this to say about his future:

“I’m not sure. This was just a one fight deal. It was local, it was in my hometown…”said Lima, while referring to Legacy FC 53, which took place in Atlanta. “That one was a one time for now, but I don’t know yet.”

“We’ll see what’s the best way,” added the 27 year-old. “Bellator’s out there, UFC is gotta be a short notice. I’m sure if somebody gets hurt they’ll give me another chance. We’ll just see. There’s World Series of Fighting as well. I know Ray Sefo pretty good. He trained me at the house as well. There’s options. I just got to make the decision. We got to see. We really haven’t reached out to anyone.”

Although the American Top Team fighter’s representatives hadn’t reached out to any promotions yet, it’s clear Lima is anxious to lock up his next fight.

“I’m healthy man. I want to keep going,” Lima noted. “I took a nice break off and now it’s time to make some big bucks. I want some big fights. I want some big money fights. I want to fight. I want to make some money now.”

Since Dhiego’s older brother Douglas Lima is one of Bellator’s top fighters, and a former welterweight champ, he understands the promotion might be a good fit for him.

“Exactly,” said Lima, while discussing the fact that joining Bellator might provide some intriguing promotional opportunities. “I would love to fight in the same organization as him again. We started out in the MFC, we started out local altogether, so the Bellator thing is something I’m really thinking about. If they give me the opportunity I’m sure we’ll probably take it.”

With the win over Trocoli, Lima extended his overall record to 11-4.
