DREAM has announced to noteworthy bouts for its upcoming, New Year’s Eve card in Saitama, Japan, as bantamweight champ Bibiano Fernandes will fight Yoshihiro Maeda and middleweight Denis Kang will take on fellow vet Melvin Manhoef.

Fernandes (12-3) will be competing under the DREAM banner for the first time since last NYE, when he stopped Antonio Banuelos to win the promotion’s bantamweight tourney and title. The decorated jiu-jitsu competitor signed with ONE FC earlier this year and worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Gustavo Falciroli in August.

Recently ONE FC and Glory Sports International, which is the driving force behind the resurrected DREAM organization, announced that they have entered into a fighter sharing agreement.

Maeda (30-11) is coming off a third round, submission win over Tatsumitsu Wada while fighting for Deep in August and is 3-2 in his last five bouts.

Kang (35-15) ended a three fight losing streak in July by knocking out Hae Suk Son at a Road FC event.

Manhoef (26-9-1) competed at ONE FC’s “Rise of Kings” event in October and knocked out Ryo Kawamura, after working his way to a split decision win over Jae Young Kim while competing for Road FC in September.

The December 31st card will also feature a heavyweight kickboxing tournament that will include noted fighter likes Semmy Schilt, Sergei Kharitonov, Gokhan Saki, Errol Zimmerman, Peter Aerts and Remy Bonkasky among others.

The event will be hosted by the Saitama Super Arena.
