Dustin Poirier Fighting Jonathan Brookins at TUF 16 Finale

By FCF Staff

The upcoming, December 15th, “Ultimate Fighter” Finale has received an intriguing featherweight addition, as Dustin Poirier will take on TUF 12 winner Jonathan Brookins at the event.

Poirier (12-2) will be looking to rebound from his loss to Chang Sung Jung in May, who choked the rising fighter out with a fourth round, Brabo Choke. Prior to the loss Poirier had won five straight fights, which included victories over Pablo Garza, Josh Grispi and Max Holloway.

Brookins (13-5) will also be looking to get back on track, as the featherweight is coming off a loss to Charles Oliveira, who tapped him out with a second round, guillotine choke in June.

In February, Brookins KO’d Vagner Rocha in the first round while competing on a UFC on FUEL TV event.

The TUF 15 Finale will be hosted by The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and will feature a heavyweight fight between Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson.
