Edson Barboza has joined UFC champions Jon Jones and Anderson Silva on the 2012 ESPY nominees list, as the Brazilian lightweight’s highlight reel knockout of Terry Etim in January, has been nominated for “Play of the Year.”

The memorable finish took place at UFC 142 when Barboza caught Etim flush with a spinning wheel kick, which instantly knocked the British fighter out cold.

Voting for the “Play of the Year” ESPY opened today on the official ESPN website.

Earlier in the week, the network announced that UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva had been nominated for “Best Fighter”.

Boxers Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Andre Ward are the other two nominees.
