Dantas celebrating his championship win

Bellator Fighting Championships has announced today that bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas,  UFC vet Paul Daley and rising welterweight Ryan ford will compete at the promotion’s upcoming November 2^nd event.

Bellator 79 will be hosted by the Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, and will be broadcast live on MTV 2.

“From Michael Chandler’s vicious knockout of MMA legend Akihiro Gono to Douglas Lima’s brutal finish over Ben Saunders, we’ve seen some tremendous fights at Casino Rama, and I expect the same on November 2,” said Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney. “Our fans in Ontario have always been top notch, and they are for another great night with names like Eduardo Dantas, Paul Daley and Ryan ‘The Real Deal’ Ford.”

No information regarding who Daley and Ford will fight was announced; however, Bellator’s bantamweight tourney finale between Luis Nogueira and Marcos Galvao takes place this Friday in Tunica Resorts, ,MS. The winner will advance to earn a title fight with Dantas.

The 23 year-old Brazilian tapped out Zach Makovsky in April to became the bantamweight champion.
