After disturbing pictures of the injury Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos incurred at Bellator 158, a wave of concern for him has swept throughout MMA, but the rugged vet is reporting he’s doing “fine”.

Santos was floored by a flying knee from Michael Page on Saturday night, and then it was revealed the welterweight incurred a fractured skull. The fighter’s ex-wife, Cris “Cyborg” Justino posted pictures of the injury, as well as a Go Fund Me campaign for Santos.

Well, in a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, Santos stated:

“Cris is crazy,” Santos said. “People exaggerate. I’m fine. I’m at my hotel. I’m feeling fine. I chose not to go to the hospital (in London). I opted to have my surgery in Houston. I’m fine. Nothing happened. I wasn’t knocked out. I only felt the pain from the fracture. At no time did I have any symptoms like convulsions or dizziness. It wasn’t a knockout. It was a fracture. It didn’t affect my brain. Everything is OK. People are crazy. I don’t need anything. At no time did Bellator refuse to help me. ”

Santos also went on to say that he’ll be back in “six months”, and that he’ll be “Cyborg”, “literally”.

The 38 year-old Brazilian has gone 1-2 since arriving in Bellator. In his promotional debut, Santos submitted Brennan Ward. In May, however, “Cyborg” was stopped by Saad Awad.
