FCF Exclusive: Strikeforce Women’s Champ Miesha Tate Talks Future Opponents, Marloes Coenen And Where Women’s MMA Is Headed

Strikeforce Women’s 135 pound Champion Miesha “Takedown” Tate talks with Full Contact Fighter correspondent Scott Corl about whom she would like to put her title on the line against and her feelings about Marloes Coenen being cut from the Strikeforce roster shortly after Tate’s victory over Coenen on July 30.

The 25-year-old Tate also gives her thoughts on what the future holds for women’s MMA in the world of Zuffa, the parent company of UFC and Strikeforce, and what she feels will happen should Zuffa decide to move away from promoting women’s bouts.

Miesha is such a wonderful representative of women in the sport, well-spoken, thoughtful and obviously dedicated to women’s MMA. I’m looking forward to watching her fight in this winter!
