“Fight Master: Bellator MMA” Premieres Tonight

By FCF Staff

Bellator’s “Summer Series” kicks off tonight in Thackerville, Oklahoma, and after the card airs on SPIKE, the promotion’s “Fight Master” TV show will premiere at 10PM (9:00PM CST).

The show will feature 32 welterweights competing for a $100,000 grand prize and a spot in one of Bellator’s upcoming tournaments. Unlike “The Ultimate Fighter”, however, fighters will get to choose their opponents as well as who they want to coach them.

Coaching the first season will be former UFC light-heavyweight and heavyweight champ Randy Couture, accomplished instructor Greg Jackson, former UFC and Strikeforce champ Frank Shamrock, and former Bellator champ and Olympic wrestler Joe Warren.

Some of the veteran fighters who are scheduled to compete in the first season include Joe Riggs, Tom Gallicchio, Mike Bronzoulis, Artenas Young and Chris Lozano, among others.
