Submitted by John Petrilli: Rage in the Cage XXV: Dewees defeats "A-Dawg" Last month, Allan "A-Dawg" Sullivan posted victories over two UFC veterans. The RITC XXV main event between 18 year old sensation Edwin "Babyface" Dewees and "A-Dawg" appeared "on paper" to be a potential mismatch. This definitely was not the case. Edwin won by arm bar submission at the 2:30 mark of round 1. A Thursday night crowd of 1,332 enjoyed 18 action packed fights. The next 10 monthly RITC shows at Celebrity Theatre are scheduled for Saturday nights. This should help to achieve sell-outs (2,651) for future events. Special guest Ricco Rodriquez, KOTC Heavyweight Champ, was on hand to enjoy the show. Ricco entered the cage and complimented promoter Roland Sarria on his RITC events and dedication to MMA. Ricco mentioned that at his last Pride event, he competed before 45,000 fans and that he would be fighting at KOTC 7 on Saturday night at the Soboba Casino in California. Two teams deserve special recognition. The Shark Tank from California went undefeated (3 – 0) for the evening and the Brausa Cage Warriors once again posted a stellar record (9 – 2).
