Five Fights Added to Cage Warriors 55

By Timothy Gilbert

The Cage Warriors 55 fight card has five additional bouts announced for its June 1 event.

The main card received middleweight matchups featuring Chris Fields vs. Norman Paraisy, as well as Henry Fadipe vs. Mike Ling.

Fields (10-5) lost the middleweight title to Jesse Taylor in December. He is 2-2 since 2012 with wins coming over Jack Mason and Pavel Kusch.

He will face Paraisy (10-3) a Bellator veteran and The Ultimate Fighter 11 contestant. However, the 26-year-old Paris native is coming off of consecutive decision losses to Brett Cooper and Maiquel Jose Falcao Goncalves.

Fadipe (5-5-1) saw his three fight win streak snapped by a loss to Fabio Ferrari followed by a draw to Tumelo Maphutha. He intends to bounce back against Ling (11-5) who looks to continue his two fight win streak, which saw wins over Lukasz Przybylski and Stuart Tyrie, that ended a 1-4 skid.

Preliminary card additions include bouts pitting Philip Mulpeter vs. Avi Jack, Liam James vs. Stephen Coll, and Piotr Ptasinski vs. John Redmond.

Cage Warriors 55 is scheduled to take place at The Helix in Dublin, Ireland. It will be co-headlined by a welterweight title match between Cathal Pendred and challenger Che Mills, and a flyweight title match between Neil Seery and Mikael Silander.
