The August 26th bout between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor reportedly did not produce the highest live gate total of all time, but it generated massive revenue, nonetheless.

Leading up to the contest, many predicted that the bout would set a new record for live gate, According to a report from MMA Junkie, however, the Nevada Commission has confirmed that the card generated a $55,414,865.79 live gate at T-Mobile Arena. The all time record is tied to the 2015 boxing match between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, which sold $72.2 million in tickets.

Recently it was reported that Mayweather – McGregor is nearing the domestic record for pay-per-view sales, 4.6 million buys, which was also set by Mayweather – Pacquiao. Dana White recently claimed that Mayweather – McGregor had sold 6.5 million PPV buys, which if accurate, would set a new international record.
