Frankie Edgar’s latest rematch has finally been confirmed, as the UFC has announced that the former champion will fight reigning lightweight champ Benson Henderson, August 11th.

The bout, which will headline UFC 150 at Denver’s Pepsi Center, was confirmed by the promotion’s president Dana White on the latest episode of UFC Tonight.

Henderson (16-2) took the title from Edgar at UFC 144 in February with a unanimous decision win, in what was a memorable and competitive five round bout.

The 28 year-old Henderson has gone undefeated in four UFC bouts, handling additional losses to Jim Miller, Mark Bocek and Clay Guida.

The last man to defeat Henderson was Anthony Pettis, who took the WEC title from the Arizona fighter with a UD victory in December, 2010.

Edgar (14-2) had gone undefeated in seven bouts prior to facing Henderson, which included two wins over the renowned BJ Penn and a stoppage victory over contender Gray Maynard.

Prior to Henderson, the last man to hand Edgar a loss is the aforementioned Maynard, who earned a unanimous decision over the 30 year-old-fighter in 2008.

Other bouts that are scheduled for UFC 150 include Yushin Okami vs. Luiz Cane, Dennis Hallman vs. Brad Tavares and Jake Shields vs. Ed Herman.
