Former UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar will return to action this July, as the featherweight vet will take on Charles Oliveira at UFC 162. In addition, the promotion has announced that Cub Swanson will battle featherweight Dennis Siver at the event, which will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Edgar (15-4-1) hasn’t fought since February, when he lost by unanimous decision to featherweight champ Jose Aldo, which marked the highly regarded fighter’s third decision loss in a row.

Oliveira (16-3), meanwhile, is coming off a knockout loss to Swanson at UFC 152 in September, after tapping out Jonathan Brookins last June.

Siver (21-8) has scored back-to-back decision wins over Diego Nunes and Nam Phan, after being stopped by Donald Cerrone in October, 2011.

Swanson (19-5) earned a UD win over Dustin Poirier February to extend his winning streak to four.

The July 6th, UFC 162 card will feature a middleweight bout between champion Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman in the main event.
