Full Contact Fighter’s “The Daily Takedown”: Meltzer Masters Media; Rockhold Gets Distracted; “Big Foot” Believes
By Joshua Molina
MMA and wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer is the subject of a well-written feature in the New York Times.
The story shows his rise from a wrestling fan who started a newsletter, to his big break with a column in The National, to his role now as the scoop-icon of MMA and wrestling.
Meltzer truly is a one-of-kind reporter who has managed to build a career doing what he loves, all from the comfort of his own home.
We should all be as lucky — and talented.
. . . Luke Rockhold is still mouthing about Vitor Belfort’s physique.
Rockhold should spend less time checking out Belfort’s body and more time worrying how he’s going to fight the legend.
Few outcomes in MMA would be sadder than seeing Rockhold drop a fight to Belfort.
“Big Foot” Silva recently said in a published report that he could knock Cain Velasquez out with one punch.
So could Joe Rogan, but that’s not the point. While Big Foot is looking to sink a half-court bomb, Velasquez will go for the slam dunk and take Big Foot down.
The outcome in this fight should be the same, if not less blood.
