Georges St-Pierre Reporting Torn ACL
By FCF Staff
Although Georges St-Pierre hadn’t given any indication that he planned to return to the UFC soon, the fighter is reporting a knee injury, which will delay any potential comeback.
The former welterweight champ, who announced he was taking a hiatus from fighting not long ago, announced via Twitter:
Tore my left ACL in training. Surgery in a few days. Rehab, pain, hard work, no shortcuts- I'll soon be back at 100%. Thanks for the support

GSP hasn’t fought since November, when he worked his way to a split decision over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167. After the bout the fighter announced he was vacating the title due to personal reasons. The star has also relayed since that concerns over performance enhancing drugs in MMA, and a lack of random testing, contributed to his decision.
In 2011, the 32 year-old fighter tore his ACL and was sidelined for over a year as a result.
