After enduring numerous bout cancellations lately, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be glad to hear that welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre remains on track to compete at its upcoming, November 17th card in Montreal.

The renowned fighter, who is recovering from knee surgery, is scheduled to fight interim champ Carlos Condit at UFC 154.

Speaking via his official Twitter account, the 31 year-old, GSP relayed Tuesday:

I’m now medically cleared to compete in professional mixed martial arts events- Rendez-vous le 17 novembre, @UFC 154, Montréal!!!

St. Pierre (22-2) hasn’t competed April, 2011, when he worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Jake Shields at UFC 129. The victory was the welterweight’s ninth straight.

The Canadian fighter had been scheduled to fight Nick Diaz, but after injuring his ACL, St. Pierre was forced to the sidelines.

Diaz then proceeded to drop a unanimous decision loss to Condit (28-5) in February.
