Georges St-Pierre Reports Rematch With Nick Diaz is “Possible”

Georges St. Pierre

By FCF Staff

Georges St-Pierre hasn’t reached a new deal with the UFC just yet, but the former welterweight champ is clearly interested in facing his old rival Nick Diaz once again.

Recently the 35 year-old star reported that he wants to come back to the Octagon, and that his management is in talks with the UFC, in an effort to make that happen. “Rush” has also entered the USADA drug testing program in preparation for his return.

In recent weeks, St-Pierre has expressed an interest in facing Tyron Woodley, Michael Bisping, and now, Nick Diaz. While speaking to MMA Fighting.com recently, GSP stated a rematch was “very possible” and that further:

“I beat him, but there was a lot of animosity,” said St-Pierre, while referring to his 2013 decision win over Diaz. “I didn’t feel I fought well that fight. He says I poisoned him and all that kind of stuff. Whatever. He has very good excuses. Even myself, I could make excuses, but I’m not that type of guy. Trust me when I say I didn’t fight as well as I wanted to and it would be fun to do it again.”

St-Pierre has also expressed an interest in returning to the cage, Decembe 10th, at UFC 206 in Toronto, Ontario.
