Georges St-Pierre isn’t guaranteeing he’ll fight again, but the former welterweight and middleweight champ hasn’t closed the door on another UFC bout.

The 36 year-old legend continues to recover from ulcerative colitis, which GSP incurred during the lead up to his submission win over Michael Bisping last November. As a result of the illness, GSP vacated the middleweight title he won at UFC 217, and it hasn’t been clear if he’ll fight again.

During the latest “MMA Hour”, St-Pierre reported that he is feeling better, but he also confirmed that he continues to undergo treatment for the condition. As a result, GSP wouldn’t guarantee he’ll return to the Octagon, but he did say this (quote via MMA Fighting):

“I’ve not closed the door (on my career). And also, I will have to think about what weight (I return at), at 185, 170, 155, what would be the weight. I’ve won the title at 170 many times. Doesn’t mean I cannot go back and try to go for the title, but for me, now that I’m at the end of my career, if I do something, it needs to be something that excites me, something that is a win-win situation that can elevate me. I’ve said it many times. I know I repeat myself, but it’s the truth.”

“I can’t fight right now, and things in MMA change very rapidly,” St-Pierre said. “I don’t know. Maybe in a few months a guy will win a title and he’s going to be the new pound-for-pound king, and maybe that will excite me. Who knows?”

When St-Pierre faced Bisping in November, it marked the first time the Canadian had fought since 2013.
