Gian Villante will be fighting in his home state of New York next, as it’s being reported the light-heavyweight will fight Patrick Cummins at UFC on FOX 25.

The upcoming, July 22nd card will take place at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island. The Villante – Cummins bout was reported first by Newsday. The two were scheduled to fight last December, but Cummins had to pull out due to a staph infection.

Villante (15-8) is coming off a stoppage loss to “Shogun Rua” in March, after scoring a TKO win over Saparbek Safarov in December.

Cummins (9-4), meanwhile, worked his way to a majority decision win over Jan Blachowicz in his last fight, which took place earlier this month. Prior to that Cummins had been stopped by Glover Teixeira and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in back-to-back bouts.
