GLORY 22: Rico Verhoeven Outscores Benjamin Adegbuyi, Sittichai Takes LW Tourney

Once again, Rico Verhoeven’s diverse striking game proved to be too much for his opponent, as the GLORY heavyweight champ outscored Benjamin Adegbuyi today in France.
Early on, Adegbuyi tested Verhoeven’s chin with some heavy punches, but as the bout continued, the latter took over with leg kicks and a steady stream of jabs. After the action filled bout, Verhoeven was awarded the unanimous decision win.
Sittichai Sitsongpeenong impressed in his first GLORY appearance, as the renowned Muay Thai fighter stopped Davit Kiria, and then decisioned Josh Jauncey to win the event’s lightweight tourney.
As a result, Sittichai will advance to a title fight with champion Robin van Roosmalen,
